Membership basics
A membership is how uHoo works. It gives you access to the full experience: your device, the app, and continuous air quality monitoring, with features that grow with you across Sense, Guard, and Command.
Sense is where it starts. Real-time air quality monitoring, alerts, and essential insights, so you always know what's in your air.
Guard goes deeper. It adds health-focused intelligence like pollen, virus, and mold risk, so you understand not just your air, but its impact on your health.
Command puts you in control. It adds automation and integrations, so your space can respond to your air on its own.
Air quality is never static. A membership keeps your space continuously monitored, with evolving insights, health indices, and features that improve over time.
Every membership includes a uHoo device, app access, real-time tracking, alerts, and insights. Guard adds health indices and risk indicators. Command adds automation and smart integrations.
Your membership begins upon activation, or 30 days after delivery, whichever comes first.
Yes, you can still use your uHoo Caeli without a membership plan. uHoo Caeli is designed as a connected membership experience, so without an active membership you'll still see your real-time air quality readings in the app, giving you a live snapshot of your environment. Advanced features such as instant alerts, historical trends, insights, and long-term data tracking won't be available.
Billing & plans
uHoo memberships are billed annually and begin upon activation. Your plan renews automatically each year for uninterrupted access.
Yes, anytime. Changes are prorated: upgrades take effect immediately, while downgrades adjust your plan with billing aligned accordingly.
Your device stays with you. After your membership ends, you'll lose access to your data history, alerts, and insights — but you'll still be able to view real-time air quality readings in the app.
We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, AMEX) and other payment options depending on your region.
Prices are displayed in USD by default, but the total will automatically convert to your local currency at checkout.
Devices & rooms
While you can move your device from room to room, we recommend one per room for the most accurate, 24/7 coverage of your entire indoor environment.
uHoo Caeli monitors one room. You can add more devices anytime to expand coverage across your home. Each additional device is linked to your membership and billed based on your plan.
Each additional room is a one-time device purchase ($179) plus an annual membership fee based on your plan:
- Sense+$69 per year, per room
- Guard+$49 per year, per room
- Command+$39 per year, per room
This lets you scale coverage while managing everything in one app.
The number of devices you can connect depends on your plan:
- SenseUp to 6 rooms
- GuardUp to 8 rooms
- CommandUp to 10 rooms
Air quality can vary from room to room. Monitoring multiple spaces gives you a more complete picture of your environment, so you can improve comfort, sleep, and overall health across your whole home.
Yes. The uHoo app lets you monitor, compare, and understand every room in real time.
We recommend one uHoo Caeli for every 50 to 80 square meters (550 to 850 square feet) of open space.

Using your device
Yes, the uHoo Caeli requires a continuous Wi-Fi connection for real-time monitoring, instant alerts, and smart home integration. That said, it has a built-in safety net for outages:
- 24-hour backupIf your Wi-Fi drops, the device stores up to 24 hours of data locally.
- Auto-syncOnce your Wi-Fi is restored, it automatically uploads the saved data so your history remains complete.
Yes. In your router logs you may see Caeli disconnect and reconnect about once a minute. That's part of the device's energy-saving feature.
No. uHoo Caeli checks for new firmware every 24 hours and downloads and installs updates automatically, so you always have the latest features.
Reset your uHoo Caeli and set it up again with the new network. This article walks you through resetting.
Yes, but only after Caeli has already been set up successfully on an existing Wi-Fi network. A brand-new device that hasn't been set up yet won't connect to a hotspot. Here's how to do it.
The gas sensors (carbon dioxide, VOC, nitrogen dioxide, and ozone) need a warm-up period on first use. Carbon dioxide needs at least 48 hours of continuous use, while VOC, nitrogen dioxide, and ozone each need at least 24 hours.
If warm-up is interrupted (the device is turned off, loses power, or drops off the network), it restarts from the beginning. This only needs to happen once. Readings will fluctuate during warm-up and can be ignored; they adjust automatically once it's complete.
It deletes the Wi-Fi network stored on the device and returns Caeli to setup mode, so you can connect it to a different network.
No. Resetting doesn't touch your uHoo account or your historical data in the app. It mainly clears the stored Wi-Fi network and returns the device to setup mode.
Watch our video tutorial, or email support@getuhoo.com with a description of the issue, a screenshot of any error in the app, your uHoo account email, and your device's MAC address.
uHoo Caeli shows different light colors as you move through setup and use. Refer to the setup guide to understand what each color means.

Connectivity & installation
You choose one per device when you order. Wi-Fi units run on 802.11 a/b/g/n at 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz and are set up through the mobile app. Cellular units use 4G LTE with a pre-configured micro-SIM shipped inside the device, so they work without your network. Each device uses a single protocol.
Aura runs on a 5V/2A USB adapter, or over Power over Ethernet using a PoE-to-USB converter. A built-in 3250mAh battery keeps it running for up to 15 minutes during a power or network outage.
Aura can be wall-mounted or placed on a table-top, in spaces with good airflow. A built-in fan helps it sample the air accurately. Mounting tape, screws, and wall plugs are included.
Yes. Aura receives over-the-air firmware updates automatically, so devices stay current without manual work.
For cellular units the SIM ships pre-configured, so there's nothing to set up. For Wi-Fi units, you connect the device through the mobile app during setup.
Dashboard, data & API
Through the uHoo web dashboard at web.getuhoo.com, which works in all major browsers, and the uHoo Business mobile app (iOS 11+ or Android 5.0+). Both show every zone and parameter in one place.
Yes. Aura provides API access (polling) so you can pull readings into your own systems, a building management system, or analytics tools. This is a key difference from the home plans, which don't export raw data.
Readings are captured once per minute and stored permanently in the cloud, with up to 15 minutes of local backup during a network outage. You can view data minute-by-minute or as hourly averages.
Yes. The dashboard is built to monitor multiple zones, floors, buildings, and locations together, so you can compare spaces and spot issues across a portfolio.
